American made vintage pump action side-ejection shotgun chambered for 3" 20 Gauge shells made in the 1970's. Shotgun was manufactured for Western Field by Mosssberg, essentially a 500C, for sale at Montgomery Wards. Shotgun features a matte black painted receiver, blued barrel and magazine tube, steel bead front sight, serrated sliding tang safety, smooth curved trigger, half-length magazine tube, serrated adjustable choke, and an aluminum receiver. The hardwood furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with a smooth wrist, fourteen inch length-of-pull, grooved pump handle, and serrated black plastic butt-plate. The original black paint finish retained is approximately 85% with scattered scratches, nicks, and edge wear. Metal displays scattered spots of rust with no observed deformation. Bore is bright and shiny, and the action smooth and crisp. The hardwood furniture is also good with scattered light scratches, some handling marks, and some material transfers on the rear of the shoulder stock. The shoulder stock looks to be refinished and the fitment is loose.
